Vue Entertainment is offering its 227 cinemas across the UK and Europe to conference planners in a move that could see 4K high-definition and Dolby Atmos sound added to virtual and hybrid events.
From 17 May, Vue will open its 91 sites in England, featuring 870 screens. DDR rates start at £49 for a minimum of 100 guests and ‘fail-safe’ satellite capabilities mean that events can be broadcast from one-to-many Vue cinemas anywhere in Britain, Northern Ireland and Europe.
Head of conferences and events Rachel Macaulay from Vue, said: “We have been streaming events via satellite for over 10 years, it is second nature to us. Our ability to host hybrid events doesn’t just mean from site to site. We can stream to individual’s houses too, so the size of an event can be exponential, it’s not a problem for us.”
Sony 4K delivers four-times the high-definition of a standard home TV, giving crisper, sharper images with brighter colours and more contrast and a picture that’s always crystal clear, no matter where delegates sit.
Combined with Dolby Atmos, which places each delegate in the centre of the sound, the result is pin-sharp, multidimensional sound that fills the space to create an all-encompassing event experience.
Macaulay continued: “We pride our sites for being crisp and sharp with first-class sound and vision and high-quality comfortable seating. Our corporate clients really appreciate this aspect. When you’re at an all-day conference you need to feel comfy to be able to give the subject your full attention; the recliner seats are perfect for this, plus we can moderate the temperature so delegates don’t feel the urge to have a quick nap in the afternoon.”
