Andrew Walmsley has joined Digital Event News as portfolio director, publisher Mash Media announced today. He will also take responsibility for Exhibition News (EN) and associated events.
Walmsley has more than 20 years experience managing large events sales teams, having most recently held senior roles at Marcus Evans and Euromoney Institutional Investor.
He said: “With my background in events, it felt the natural move to join a company that is stitched in the very fabric of our industry. Joining at a time where we can play such a pivotal role in supporting planners’ digital event strategies as we emerge from the pandemic, was for me, very important.
“The importance Mash Media plays as the information hub for the industry was a key reason why I was attracted to the role and a personal thank-you must go to Duncan Siegle and Julian and Liz Agostini for putting their faith in me early-on in a position where I can help the company grow, cement its position as the leading voice of our industry and develop its newest title, Digital Event News while helping put the events industry back where it needs to be.”
