Actor, writer and comedian Babatunde Aléshé will host the Digital Event Awards this Thursday (31 March) at the Hilton London Bankside hotel.
Aléshé, who supported Mo Gilligan on his sold-out comedy tour and appeared at the O2 Arena’s Black British Takeover, is also known for his appearances on Channel 4’s multi-award-winning show, Celebrity Googlebox.
The Digital Event Awards, sponsored by iVent, Notified and Totem will take place in-person while being broadcast to colleagues, families and friends of the shortlisted nominees via the ceremony’s platform partner, Hubilo.
The awards, held in association with Digital Event News, feature 19 categories and were judged by a panel of 14 industry experts. Aléshé will present the winners with their trophies in categories such as Best Digital Conference, Best Webinar Series, Best Live Streaming Experience and Best In-event Networking Model.
Judges included among others, ICC Belfast’s head of production, Dave Young; Clarion’s portfolio director, James Samuel; Nigel Dacre, CEO of Inclusive Digital; Rachel Macaulay, head of conferences and events for Vue Entertainment; Ed Tranter, MD of 73 Media and The Events Hub founder, Ruby Sweeney.
The 2022 Digital Event Awards will commence at 6pm with a drinks reception, following by a three-course dinner, entertainment, the awards and after-party. The virtual broadcast will commence at 8pm.
