Maritz Global Events and DRPG, the two agencies responsible for ICCA’s ambitious hybrid congress last year, have announced a ‘creative experience alliance’.
‘More Than Experience’, has been established to help clients evolve live experience briefs from ‘a return on investment to a return on experience’.
The alliance will focus on enhancing audience engagement through the application of strategic communications, disruptive creativity, multi-channel content creation, technological innovations and combined logistics.
David Peckinpaugh, president, Maritz Global Events, said: “The pandemic has forever changed the landscape of our industry, and our clients are asking ‘What’s next?’ They want and need something new and different as they are expected to push boundaries, justify budgets and prove ROI.
“This alliance enables us to focus on experiences like never before, ultimately benefiting our clients with solutions that are purposeful, scalable, holistic and customised to fit their needs.”
Dale Parmenter, founder and CEO of DRPG, added: “With this creative alliance, clients can expect an even more considered approach, putting the audience and the outcome at the very heart of the solution.
“With More Than Experience we are challenging the ways our industry has always done things. It’s a different way of looking at communication, a different way of working. We want to shake things up, by making all the things the market has told us they wanted more of, possible. DRPG and Maritz Global Events share similar values and philosophies, which only enhances the creative alliance.”
In November 2020, Maritz Global Events teamed up with DRPG to stage a hybrid version of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA)’s annual event. The conference, hosted by the Taiwanese city, Kaohsiung featured content from five other global hubs and a holographic keynote from ICCA president, James Rees – all managed from DRPG’s studio in Kidderminster.
