Connected experiences agency, SharpEnd has been named amongst the winners of the World Exhibition Stand Resilience Awards.
The agency, which specialises in connecting brands with consumers via IoT and digital environments, won Platinum in the Best Pivot to Virtual for a Client category for its ‘Fly Campari Group’ virtual brand experience, on behalf of the Italian premium spirits company.
Instead of a conventional booth for the Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo 2020, SharpEnd collaborated with Campari Group to land a virtual private jet in the middle of the exhibition hall and invite every show visitor to enjoy a pre-flight cocktail in the Campari Group Departures Lounge, before embarking on a round-the-world brand experience with flights to Venice, Kentucky and Speyside in Scotland to discover the homes of three premium spirits.
At each virtual destination, visitors could explore a 360-degree environment, complete with interactive touch-points that delved deeper into each product.
Visitors then had their virtual passport stamped and could either travel on to the next destination or return to the Lounge and speak with a brand representative.
SharpEnd founder and CEO, Cameron Worth said: “In times of change, it paves the way for new creativity. We were trusted by an amazing client to deliver something truly memorable and I’m very proud our solutions delivered so much success to Campari Group. As more events go online, we hope that our approach will be adopted as an industry standard to make things more interactive and insightful.”
Other World Exhibition Stand Resilience Award winners included DRPG, which took home Platinum for BT Consumer Live 2020 and Gold for Nationwide Virtual Conference, plus Brandfuel, which won Platinum for RESET 2021 and Diamond for Best Company / Staff Support Plan.
