WSET (The Wine & Spirit Education Trust) has launched a series of virtual events aimed at wine enthusiasts, wine and spirits professionals and alumni.
The Events Hub programme kicked off on 21 October with ‘Eaux de Vie: In Essence’ – an interview with Barney Wilczak of the Capreolus Distillery on the subject of fruit distillates.
The series format will vary according to the target audience, from webinars and masterclasses to Q&A sessions and IG Lives.
Attendees can register to join each event live via the WSET website, with the sessions then recorded and published as on-demand, shareable content on the WSET YouTube channel.
WSET’s head of events and partnerships, Ami Wilkinson, said: “We are really excited to be launching our Events Hub. This will enable us to deliver our own programme of activity for the first time and provide a 24/7 stream of knowledge for industry professionals and enthusiasts. The Events Hub will enable us to gain a better understanding of our target audiences and further develop our content to meet different audience needs.”
Other events already scheduled include, ‘Fried, Smoke, and Spice! How to create the perfect food and wine matches’ on 2 December and ‘Blind tasting the WSET Diploma way’ on 8 December.
WSET offers a comprehensive suite of qualifications covering wines, spirits and sake. WSET qualifications are globally recognised as the international standard in wine and spirit knowledge.
